The Denver Nuggets have opened training camp ahead of the 2026–27 NBA season, with Nikola Jokic expressing confidence in the team’s revamped roster.

Denver has retained its established starting lineup while introducing several new players, including veteran DeMar DeRozan, as the organization prepares for another campaign.

Following Tuesday’s practice, Jokic shared his initial impressions of the newcomers and indicated that he expects them to make a positive contribution.

“The starting unit is the same, but there’s a bunch of new guys,” said Serbian franchise star Nikola Jokic after practice on Tuesday. “I think they’re going to be good.”

The Nuggets have spent their opening training sessions working on conditioning, improving defensive execution and helping the new arrivals become familiar with the team’s system.

Head coach David Adelman has also emphasized the importance of using Denver’s altitude as a conditioning advantage, with the demanding environment helping players regain their physical readiness following the offseason.

The Nuggets will begin their preseason schedule against the Utah Jazz at the CU Events Center on Sunday before opening the regular season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 22.
