TJ Bamba is making the most of his chance with the Denver Nuggets after earning a Summer League invitation following a season overseas.

Bamba moved to Denver after completing his freshman year of high school in New York City, despite having no previous experience playing organized basketball.

His journey eventually took him through Washington State, Villanova, and Oregon before going undrafted in 2025.

After spending last season in Germany, the guard contributed seven points, three rebounds, and three assists in Denver’s second Summer League game on Saturday.

Reflecting on his return to the city where his basketball journey truly began, Bamba expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

“It’s crazy. Years later down the line, I’m here back in Denver but with the Denver Nuggets organization. It’s a blessing, and I definitely want to take advantage of it and make the most of the opportunity.”
