The Memphis Grizzlies are getting calls on Tarik Biberovic, whose draft rights remain one of the more usable assets in their stash as the franchise navigates a busy draft-week backdrop.
Jake Fischer reported Monday that several teams have expressed interest in acquiring the EuroLeague wing’s rights while Memphis also weighs trade offers for Ja Morant and the No. 3 pick.
Biberovic, 25, has not committed to an NBA move and has continued to stay in Europe, but his profile has clearly become relevant to teams looking for a ready-made perimeter shooter with strong international pedigree.
Over the past three seasons, he shot 44% from three-point range for Fenerbahce and helped the club win the 2025 EuroLeague title. He also finished with a strong 2025-26 campaign, averaging 10.7 points in EuroLeague play while shooting 39.9% from deep and 95.1% at the free-throw line across 36 games.
Memphis selected Biberovic with the 56th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, but the right to bring him over has remained on the shelf. For teams trying to add value at the margins, those rights can still matter. They cost no cap space, require no immediate roster spot and can be included as a sweetener in a larger trade.
That makes Biberovic the type of asset that often surfaces when front offices are trying to complete a broader deal. A team buying his rights is not necessarily expecting an immediate arrival. It is buying optionality: the chance to sign a 6-foot-7 wing who has already won at a high level and shown that his shooting translates against EuroLeague competition.
His resume in Europe is substantial. In addition to the EuroLeague championship, Biberovic has won four Turkish Super League titles, five Turkish Cups and a Turkish Super Cup. He was also named Turkish Cup Final MVP in 2026.
The statistical trend is just as important. Biberovic’s role grew steadily at Fenerbahce, and his production followed. In the 2024-25 EuroLeague season, he averaged 9.8 points in 22.4 minutes per game while making 42.0% of his threes. He followed that with 10.7 points per game the next season and kept his efficiency intact.
