While much of the attention in the Western Conference Finals has focused on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama, Jenni Carlson of The Oklahoman believes Alex Caruso has actually been the most valuable player in the series so far.

Caruso has impacted games far beyond his defensive reputation, consistently making winning plays on both ends of the floor for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In Game 3, the veteran guard added 15 points in just 24 minutes while continuing to provide strong all-around production throughout the series.

Across the first three games, Caruso is averaging 21.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks while posting an impressive plus-46 rating during his minutes on the court.

“He makes the plays that have nothing to do with physical ability,” Chet Holmgren said.
