WESTFIELD, Mass — The MASCAC annoucned their weekly football awards on Monday afternoon and Buccaneers senior punter Logan Tsika was named the conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week.
In Maritime’s 21-3 win over Fitchburg State on Saturday, Tsika punted four times for 145 yards, an average of 36.3 yards per punt, and pinned the Falcons inside their own 20 yard line on one occasion.
On the season, Tsika punted 22 times in six games with an average of 33.5 yard per puntwith a long of 57 yards and had pinned opponents inside their own 20 yard line seven times.
