The WNBA issues a warning

In 2024, the WNBA attracted record-breaking numbers of viewers. In 2025, the league is advising “Viewer Discretion.”

That’s the theme of the WNBA’s season-long ad campaign, which launched during the 2025 WNBA Draft and will debut new spots throughout the season.

As a concept, “Viewer Discretion” captures the league’s electrifying, daring, can’t-miss players, beginning with reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson.

The Las Vegas Aces superstar will be the focus on the first new spot, which will drop on Saturday, May 17 during ABC’s doubleheader featuring the Aces at the New York Liberty (1 p.m. ET) and the Chicago Sky at the Indiana Fever (3 p.m. ET). After that, fans can expect ads spotlighting the Fever’s Caitlin Clark, Sky’s Angel Reese, Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu and Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier.

In addition to the primary ads starring those five players, the league intends to create new spots celebrating others players and their excellence throughout the season. So be advised, only view the WNBA if you’re fully prepared for passion and power of the best women’s basketball players in the world.
