San Antonio Spurs are set to include South Korean forward Lee Hyun-jung in their 2026 NBA Summer League roster, according to reporting from Chosun. The move marks another international addition for the franchise as it continues evaluating young talent through offseason competition.
Lee’s agency, Epic Sports, confirmed the selection, stating: “Lee Hyun-jung has finalized his selection of the San Antonio Spurs as the team to participate in the NBA Summer League this summer.” The Summer League will serve as his next step in front of NBA coaching staffs and scouts.
Lee Hyun-jung brings a multi-league background spanning college basketball in the United States and professional stops across Asia and the G League. At Davidson College from 2019 to 2022, he developed into a consistent perimeter threat, highlighted by 15.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game during the 2021–22 season.
His shooting profile stood out in college play, particularly during his 2020–21 campaign when he posted a 44.2% three-point shooting rate while averaging 13.5 points per game. He also delivered a career-high 32 points and 14 rebounds against Charlotte on December 1, 2021.
After college, Lee spent time with the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2023 and later played for the Illawarra Hawks between 2023 and 2025. His career also includes stints with Osaka Evessa in 2024 and Nagasaki Velca from 2025 onward, where he has taken on a larger offensive role.
In the 2025–26 season with Nagasaki Velca, Lee has averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 57.5% from the field and 49.3% from three-point range.
