Behind a near-perfect shooting performance from Kayla McBride, the Minnesota Lynx cruised to a 92-79 road win over the Atlanta Dream.

On Sunday evening, the Minnesota Lynx, fresh off an authoritative Saturday afternoon home win over the New York Liberty, arrived in Atlanta to take on the Dream.

Swish Appeal’s contributing photographer Christina Merrion was there to capture the action, which was highlighted by Kayla McBride going 6-for-7 from 3 and 10-for-12 overall as she scored a game-high 31 points to lead to the Lynx to the 92-79 win.

Napheesa Collier and the Lynx huddle before the game. Through the first five games of the season, Collier is averaging a double-double of 23.0 points and 10.4 rebounds, along with 4.0 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.2 blocks per game.

Offseason addition Alanna Smith continued her stellar start to the season for the Lynx. Shooting nearly 65 percent from 3 from the season, she was 3-for-6 from behind the arc on Sunday on her way to 17 points.

Back in the WNBA after sitting out last season, Tina Charles contributed 14 points for the Dream on Sunday. For the season, she’s averaging 13.3 points and 8.0 rebounds.

Although she did much of her damage from behind the arc, Kayla McBride streaks past Allisha Gray for the transition layup.

It was quiet game for Allisha Gray, who finished with seven points on seven shots. However, Gray has been impactful in the Dream’s previous contests, averaging 15.5 points per game for the season.

In her first season with the Lynx, Courtney Williams capably has served as the team’s primary playmaker. She finished with nine points, six boards and five assists on Sunday.

Another new Lynx addition, Natisha Hiedeman navigates the double team from Aerial Powers and Haley Jones.

Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 23 points, in addition to five rebounds, five assists and six steals. Through four games, she’s averaging 21.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.8 steals.

Napheesa Collier turned in another all-round performance, with 20 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and a steal.
