The Detroit Pistons have officially signed Lamar Stevens, according to a tweet from Stevens’ agency, Priority Sports. This deal is reported to be a training camp contract.

Stevens went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft but quickly found an opportunity with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He signed a two-way contract with Cleveland on November 28, 2020. His consistent play led to a multi-year contract with the Cavaliers on April 14, 2021.

In July 2023, Stevens was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team deal involving the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. However, his time in San Antonio was short-lived as he was waived on July 17.

Stevens signed with the Boston Celtics on September 26, 2023, as he sought to establish himself in the league. He played in 19 of 50 games with the Celtics, averaging 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.

On February 7, 2024, Stevens was traded once again, this time to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Celtics received Xavier Tillman in return along with two second-round picks.

Last season, Stevens averaged 7.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game while playing for both the Celtics and Grizzlies.
