Nets end drought with win over Thunder led by Claxton and Dinwiddie

The Brooklyn Nets (16-20) halted their winless streak in the new year, securing a 124-115 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder (23-11) behind standout performances from Spencer Dinwiddie and Nic Claxton.

The Nets entered the game on a five-game losing streak, but Dinwiddie and Claxton changed the narrative by each contributing 23 points, steering Brooklyn to a decisive win. Cam Thomas emerged from a shooting slump with 19 points.

Despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s outstanding effort with 34 points, nine assists, and six rebounds for the Thunder, Brooklyn’s comprehensive performance broke the losing streak.
