The Atlanta Hawks are exploring trade options for star point guard Trae Young following the departure of Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Despite his talents, interest from Young’s preferred destinations appears lukewarm at present.
ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported that both the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers have shown little enthusiasm for acquiring Young.
“Trae Young is potent enough to keep the Hawks around .500, and they don’t have much incentive to tank so long as the Spurs control their first-round picks through 2027 thanks to the original Murray trade,” Lowe wrote.
