Former Toronto Raptors center Jontay Porter is set to plead guilty to federal charges related to his involvement in an alleged sports gambling operation.
According to Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic, Porter faces a felony charge filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
Porter’s plea is expected on July 10, marking a significant development in the case involving a sports betting scheme.
The NBA previously banned Porter in April due to his role in compromising games for gambling purposes.
