The Atlanta Hawks have signed Daeqwon Plowden, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. This announcement was confirmed by Plowden’s agent, Drew Kelso.

Plowden joins the Hawks after a brief stint with the Golden State Warriors, where he was on a two-way contract. During his time in the NBA Summer League, he averaged 14.6 points per game while shooting 39.6% from beyond the arc over eight games.

Before entering the league, Plowden worked out with several NBA teams, including the Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, and Utah Jazz. Despite his efforts, he went undrafted in 2022.

Following the draft, Plowden played for the Pelicans during the 2022 NBA Summer League. He averaged 12 points per game.

On September 9, 2022, Plowden signed with the Pelicans, but his contract was terminated shortly after when he was waived on October 15. This marked the beginning of his journey to find a stable NBA home.

After his release, Plowden joined the Birmingham Squadron, the G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, where he was named to the opening night roster on November 4, 2022.

In the 2023 NBA Summer League, he joined the Oklahoma City Thunder. His journey continued when he was traded to the Osceola Magic on September 7, 2023.

Plowden signed with the Orlando Magic on October 18, 2023, but was waived just three days later. Despite these setbacks, he joined Osceola, where he had a productive season.

Last season, Plowden averaged 10.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 25 minutes per game for the Osceola Magic.
