Haliburton deems the games played threshold for awards as ‘stupid’

Tyrese Haliburton is actively working towards regaining health to contribute to the Indiana Pacers’ success and increase his chances of being named to an All-NBA team, which carries significant financial implications.

However, having already missed 13 games, if Haliburton sits out five more games this season, he will become ineligible for NBA awards. Haliburton expresses disagreement with this rule.

“I think it’s a stupid rule, like plenty of the guys in the league, but this is what the owners want, so as players, we gotta do our job and play in 65 games if we’re able to,” Haliburton said.
