In a high-scoring showdown, Cam Thomas and Jordan Poole engaged in a scoring battle, combining for 76 points, as the Brooklyn Nets (28-45) narrowly defeated the Washington Wizards (14-59) 122-119 in overtime on Wednesday night.
Thomas dropped 38 points, including crucial jumpers in overtime, to propel the Nets to victory. The guard also dished out seven assists.
Meanwhile, Poole put on a scoring clinic of his own, notching a season-high 38 points for the Wizards, although he couldn’t connect on a late-game 3-pointer that could have tied the contest.
