Arsenal published their set of accounts for the latest financial year and by doing so, confirmed their stance regarding the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability rules (PSR).
The Gunners announced a loss of just £17.7million for the 2023/25 financial year, down from the £52.1m loss from the year before. There was also an increase in revenue from £466.7m to £616.6m as a result of the club’s commercial strategy and on-field performances.
Participation in the Champions League last season, the first in many years, resulted in matchday revenue increasing to £131.7m, compared to £102.6m from the previous year.
The club revealed the latest set of accounts on Tuesday morning. In the statement released by the club, it was confirmed that owner Stan Kroenke had provided funds to aid ‘transfer activities and for working capital purposes’.
There was also a positive update on Arsenal’s compliance with PSR. Concerns over how much Mikel Arteta can spend in the summer transfer window have emerged after the club opted against strengthening the attack in January.

However, according to the club, there are no concerns of failing to comply. “The club continues to be compliant with all applicable financial sustainability regulations put in place by UEFA and the Premier League.”
The stance will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans with a big-money move for the likes of Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko tipped. Both strikers could cost close to the Gunners’ club-record transfer, which currently sits at £105m.
