Ange Postecoglou is speaking to the media after Tottenham Hotspur won 2-0 at Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Spurs were without Micky van de Ven following the 23-year-old Dutchman’s 45-minute return in the 3-0 win against Elfsborg. with Ange Postecoglou explaining the absence of the centre-back as “trying to manage his minutes”
The visitors began the contest nervously but did take the lead half an hour in when an inswinging Son Heung-min corner hit Vitaly Janelt on the line and bounced into the Brentford goal.
Spurs battled away in a tight encounter and substitute Pape Matar Sarr scored their second late in the second half. A pinpoint ball from Son into the midfielder’s path sent him into the box and the Senegal international poked it through the goalkeeper’s legs and into the net to seal the win.
