Zalgiris Kaunas is reportedly closing in on agreements with two former NBA players as the club continues to strengthen its roster for next season.

According to reports, guard Carsen Edwards and wing Maxwell Lewis are both in the final stages of negotiations and are expected to join Zalgiris ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Edwards brings significant European experience despite his NBA background. The scoring guard has spent the last four seasons overseas, building a reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous offensive players.

Last season, he suited up for Virtus Bologna after previous stops with Fenerbahce and Bayern Munich.

During the 2025-26 season, Edwards averaged 17.1 points across 72 appearances in all competitions for Virtus Bologna, continuing his strong production on the international stage.

Lewis, meanwhile, spent last season splitting time between Juventus Utena and Tofas. The 6-foot-7 wing showcased his versatility and shooting ability while playing in both Lithuania and Turkey.

Across 55 combined games, Lewis averaged 8.5 points per contest while posting highly efficient shooting numbers, connecting on 50 percent of his field-goal attempts, 45 percent of his three-pointers, and 80 percent of his free throws.
