Tottenham now know the route they will have to embark on to reach the Europa League final in May. After securing a top-eight finish in the league phase table at the end of January, Spurs discovered their round of 16 opponents in Friday’s draw in Switzerland.

In the last 16, Ange Postecoglou’s side will take on AZ Alkmaar. The first leg takes place at AZ’s AFAS Stadion on Thursday, March 6, with the return leg at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the diary for Thursday, March 13.

Should Tottenham prevail in their round of 16 tie, they will take on the winner of the last 16 clash between Ajax and Eintracht Frankfurt. As the quarter-final and semi-final draw was also conducted on Friday to confirm who has home advantage in the first leg and second leg, Tottenham will be at home first up. The quarter-finals are scheduled for Thursday, April 10 and 17.

Should Tottenham come through the round of 16 and quarter-finals, Postecoglou’s men will play one of Bodo/Glimt, Olympiacos, Viktoria Plzen or Lazio in the last four. As is the case with the quarter-finals, Tottenham will be at home first if they are to advance to the final four.

The semi-finals are due to be played on Thursday, May 1 and 8. The final will then take place at San Mames Stadium in Bilbao on Wednesday, May 21.
