“Congratulations on your great career!” Nadal wrote. “You have been a great example of struggle and overcoming and I am glad that we have shared so many moments on the circuit. Enjoy your next stage!”

To which Schwartzman replied: “Rafa, thank you for letting me share so many moments on and off the court. You are, were and will be a legend forever. You taught tennis a lot, and thank you for once letting me beat you!”
24-time champion Djokovic posted an Instagram story for Schwartzman.

“Amigo, congratulations for an incredible career!” Djokovic wrote.

Schwartzman replied: “Thank you Nole! Few people know what you do for this sport, and that makes you even greater than your exploits on the court. It’s been a pleasure to be able to see you up close all these years.”

Schwartzman finished his career with four ATP titles and 251 match wins. He reached the Roland-Garros semifinals in 2020 and played four additional major quarterfinals, with two coming in Paris. The 32-year-old reached a career-high ranking of No.8.
