Paula Badosa celebrated good friend Aryna Sabalenka’s US Open title with high praise and request.
Two-time Australian Open champion Sabalenka defeated Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5 to capture her maiden US Open title on Saturday.
The triumph came one year after Sabalenka squandered a one-set lead bowing to Coco Gauff in the 2023 final.
Afterward, Sabalenka took to social media thanking fans and friends for their support.
That prompted a funny reply from Badosa.
Can’t believe I did it 🏆
Thank you everyone for you support ❤️— Sabalenka Aryna (@SabalenkaA) September 8, 2024
