Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner secures a massive contract extension, setting a new benchmark in NBA deals.
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Wagner has inked a five-year, $224 million maximum rookie contract extension, potentially escalating to $269 million based on incentives.
Wagner’s contract includes provisions that could see him earn up to 30% of the team’s salary cap if he achieves All-NBA honors.
Wagner is eligible to earn 30 percent of the team’s salary cap should he get voted to the All-NBA team, sources said.
