Anthony Edwards’ 44-point showdown propels Timberwolves past Pacers

Anthony Edwards dropped game-high 44 points, guiding the short-handed Minnesota Timberwolves (44-19) to a hard-fought 113-111 victory over the Indiana Pacers (35-29) on Thursday night.

Despite missing All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota relied on Edwards’ heroics to secure their position atop the Western Conference standings, edging past Oklahoma City by a half-game.

Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Naz Reid contributed 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
