The Philadelphia 76ers were reportedly close to acquiring Chicago Bulls center Andre Drummond before talks fell through just hours before the trade deadline, leaving the Sixers empty-handed in their pursuit of the veteran big man.
According to reports from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the 76ers were under the impression that a deal for Drummond was imminent, only for the Bulls to withdraw from negotiations at the last minute.
The Bulls had initially sought three second-round draft picks in exchange for Drummond, a price that ultimately proved too steep for Philadelphia.
