The Golden State Warriors made a bold move at this year’s trade deadline, reportedly attempting to acquire Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James in a blockbuster trade.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne, the Warriors engaged in a 24-hour window of discussions, including owner-to-owner conversations, in an unsuccessful bid to pair James with longtime rival Stephen Curry.
Despite the Warriors’ eagerness to present a compelling trade package to the Lakers, neither the Lakers nor James were willing to explore the potential blockbuster deal.
